B.Sc. Optical Engineering
Ottmar is one of the founders of XL TechGroup and, as a member of the senior executive team, is involved in all aspects of the Company's operations, with particular responsibility for HR and day-to-day operational management. Ottmar immigrated to the USA in 1967 and joined Space Systems Laboratory where he served as team leader for the design of next generation optical systems for the US Air Force and NASA.
He was the founder, Chairman, CEO and President of Opto-Mecanik, Inc. a designer and manufacturer of infrared optical and laser based systems, and served in this capacity for 27 years. Ottmar also served as Chairman of Applied Photonics, a provider of laser based solutions to the semiconductor and flat panel display industries.
Ottmar received a degree in optical engineering from the Deroy Optical Institute, Munich, Germany.
